The aims of this satellite symposium are to examine the potential therapeutic applications of the Cannabinoids and to speculate on the future developments for medicines to reduce symptoms or cure diseases and disorders.
Invited speakers will present on the following topics:
- Endocannabinoids
- Neurological Disorders
- Pain and Inflammation
- Metabolic/Cardiovascular
- Psychiatric Disorders
- Addiction
- Cancer
- Reproduction
- Gastrointestinal Functions
- Ocular Effects
- Bone Formation
- Prion Diseases
After presentations on each topic attendees will discuss issues (with a discussion leader) as to the state of knowledge concerning each topic, and needs for future research.
Any researcher (including graduate students and post-doctoral students) may also submit a poster on a therapeutic potential, which will be included in the program and the published proceedings.
